Steven G. Weiss, MD

Steven G. Weiss MD is a Board Certified Allergist/Immunologist who has been practicing Asthma, Allergy and Immunology in the Tampa Bay area since 1984.

 

Dr. Weiss is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco, California and his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at The University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

 

Dr. Weiss has served as the President of the Medical Staff at Mease Hospitals as well as being a member of The Board of Trustees of Mease Healthcare. He has received awards and recognition from Top Doctors in America, Best Doctors in Tampa Bay, US World and News Report Top Doctors, Compassionate Physician Recognition, Top 10 Doctors Award and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.

Leah R. Chernin, DO

Dr. Leah R. Chernin joined her father, Dr. Steven G. Weiss, in practice in 2014. Dr. Chernin is board certified in Allergy/Immunology and Pediatrics, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, allergy and immunologic diseases.

 

Dr. Chernin received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida and her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Lutheran General Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois and her Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at University Hospitals Richmond Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

Dr. Chernin has spoken at the national level, published a book chapter and has had numerous publications in journals. Dr. Chernin welcomes both adult and pediatric patients.

 

Our dedicated and knowledgeable office staff makes every effort to provide the highest level of healthcare by creating a caring relationship between our patients, staff and doctors. Our staff can answer your questions, whether related to insurance, referrals or scheduling an appointment. The practice accepts most insurance plans. We want your experience to be as informative and stress free as possible.

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to register.

 

 

What to bring

 

 

  • Photo ID

  • Insurance Card(s)

  • Please bring a list of your current medications including all prescription medications and any over the counter medications and/or vitamin supplements you may be taking. Please be sure to include the dosage and frequency in which you take the medication

  • ALL co-pays and co-insurance payments are due and collected at the time services are rendered
